The big cut-out heart on the front cover makes it a perfect Valentine's Day book; Parr's characteristic pithy, conversational style and neo-primitive illustrations make it a great year 'round readaloud: "I love you when you are sick. / I love you when you feel better. / I love you when you give me kisses. / I love you when you need hugs."<br /><br />The library has scads of the prolific Todd Parr's titles. While conventionally targeted to PreK/K set, in my humble opinion, they make for heartwarming reads for any age. <br /><br />Todd Parr.
